Best Bud: Kels, Des & Vinc

a Surprise Party was planned for Des in the hectics of SMU week 7 ! Friends called it Operation D: Surprise @ Fisher’s and this ops order was written by Kelvin. we have a good laugh at it!

Situation Rep :
Enemy Forces: Murphy’s Law (Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong)

Friendly Forces:
Advance Party: Kelvin & Vincent
Surprise Team: Wanshan (IC), Fiona, Jenny, Marilyn, Nga

Mission:
To give Desmond’s a surprise celebration on his 24th Birthday.

Coordinating Instructions - The Execution: Actual Day…

Phase I: Distraction
1840: Kelvin made contact with Surprise Team to confirm team strength and preparation of birthday card.

1845: Advance party met up with Desmond and headed over to Fishermen’s Wharf.

1900: Dinner started and phase I went through smoothly.

Phase II: Surprise

1920: Surprise Team arrived in full strength! Target Desmond was caught off-guard and pleasantly surprised by their appearance. However, Murphy made an attack. There was no birthday cake & candles! Mayday mayday… time for Plan B…

Phase II (Plan B): Saving the Surprise

1930: Amidst the chatting, Plan B was kicked into action with Vincent’s exit to collect sailing equipment from a friend at Chinatown Point. Taking the cue, Kelvin volunteered to help carry the equipment. The dinner carried on with Desmond, Serene, Wanshan, Jenny, Marilyn, Nga and Fiona.

1945: After marching on for 15 minutes, Vincent & Kelvin finally secured a cake from Breadtalk, and took another 10 minutes to head back to Fisher’s

1955: Engaging through the restaurant’s backdoor, they approached the unsuspecting target with the green tea cake and lighted candles. Once again, Murphy made a move! The swirling fans attacked from above, snuffing out the candles before they could reach Desmond. Nonetheless… that did not stop the party from going on! The birthday songs went on and the team surrounded the cake to cover the attack from the fans, allowing Desmond to finally make his wish, and blow out the candles. Success!

Phase III: Paradise

2100: Pictures taken, gift & card presented, wishes made, it was time for everyone to head back and fight another battle – The Midterms.With that… Operation D was a success!!

Conclusion: Folks, the Operation D will be a failure if Rene knows it. Coz there's no secrets between both of them. Its hard to keep things, the throat feel so heavy.

Anyway, during this busy mid-term week, Rene will never be able to ask des out cos the definate & firm ans will be NONO.
