World War 2 Relived

we had a talk by a 94 year old Nazi Concentration Camp Survivor. He was a Jewish and was put into different camps for 6 years before he was saved by the American ground forces.

Hearing from him personally is definitely different from reading the history book. You can feel the pain, the torture, and how come in this world, people will resort to doing such things.

The experience was further enhanced by a site visit to Mauthaussen, an Austrian Nazi concentration camp. The purpose of this camp was to kill the prisioners by hard labour and intense adverse living conditions.

People from all over Europe was brought here and they had to trek by foot 6km to the camp found on top of a really high hill. They were stripped to the bottom and all their hairs including their pubic hairs were shavened. Babies and the handicapped were killed immediately after entering the camp shortly.

Living conditions were really bad when u need to squeeze 300 people in a 3 5-room flat and really i cannot imagine how they could have done that...

went into the gas chamber that was used to kill the people.. hmm..can't describe the feelings by words. it is just so cold, so cold. oh yes that includes the storeroom where they practically used to store the bodies
