A day @ Red Cross Home for the Disabled
Tears always filled my eyes whenever we stepped into another room to sing Tong Hua and Jia. Macarena was a clumsy dance for me.. can neber get the steps rite. Heehee
There's a little boy, guess is a new resident cos we didnt see him when we first recce RCHD. He's abt 4-5 yrs old. He luv to be touched.. juz gently stroked his head or hand or play with his little fingers, u can see him smiling. When Vy sang for him, he smiled too. A lovely sight.
Next to this little boy, is a slightly older gal. She has big round eyes. When she is sleeping, she looked like a normal child. Looking @ both of them, makes me feel like crying. We dun wanna hav children so late, is nt worth to see them suffer. Their helpness stare ached our heart alot. But they can responds very well to their parents. When i was wheeling a teenage boy in the wheelchair, he will hold the wheels of his wheelchair if i pushed him out of sight of our car. He wanna stay near our car.. and wanna go round n round the car. We wonder why and assume that tis teenage boy luvs car. As it started to rain, i managed to coax him back to his room.. it was nt easy cos i'm afraid of hurting his hand and his strength is so much stronger than me.
Later in the afternoon, we saw the father of this teenage boy, arranging him to bring him home for awhile. The father drove.. tat's explains y he wanna stay near our car. Cos tis teenage boy is missing his dad, he wanna go home with his dad. His dad hav no prob carrying him into the car and he was happily smiling away.
Parents really played a big role in these RCHD residents..
