What a wkend

Last sat is my cousin, Michelle's 21st bday celebration at Costa Sand Chalet. Everyone was asking wher is des.. Haha.. Everyone. All my cousin's kids had grown up and so fun to play with. This made them my nieces and nephews? tat's wat my cousins said so.

Little Rachel was such a hard nut to crack. Her mummy asked her to pee as she hadnt pee for the whole evening. She said, "i dun wan". I made fun of my cousin saying that, last time, our parents asked us to pee.. we go. NOw, little future generation would talk back n hav their mind of their own. Is not easy to lOOk after a kid.. Rachel was 4 yrs old :p

Des went for company retreat to a countryside w v poor reception. We didnt talk for more than 10 secs. Just 1 quick word, are you safe? that's it n end of call. :( Didnt slept well.. having a bad headache on sun morn, mayb due to the poor reception that i couldnt hav a gd sleep? hahaha

Sun afternoon was fun, i pestered my mum to wrap the dumplings (zhong zhi). She said tat a newbie like me should try the plain type aka kin zhang (dipped w sugar) The 1st 1.5 hrs was a torture for me.. i couldnt do it right at all.. kept wrapping n unwrapping.. Was so demoralizing that i wanna to give up..
After much attempts, i managed to get it right.. i wrapped 20 little dumplings all by myself. Have to cooked it n unwrapped it to check whether was i successful cos no water should seep into the dumplings..
And... i finally did it in my 1st attempts.. no water actually seeped into it. I'm so thrilled!!
Next week, we gona do the nonya and meat w salted egg yolk dumplings.. haha.
Des missed my self created dumplings :( but i will do his favourite fillings for him when he's back. The best part of doing dumplings on my own, is tat i can prepare my own fillings :)
