After Op

The after-effect of morphine really makes des very sick n weak. He was drifting in n out of his light sleep @ the day surgery ward. He tells me that is really painful but the nurses couldnt gave him painkillers as he was given morphine during operations. So i have to monitor him and when 2 hrs is up after the operation, then only, he could hav his painkillers.

From dizzyness to feeling nauseous. He doesnt have appetite for anyting, even his fav porridge. I wet his lips now n then and persuaded him to have some milo n biscuits. He was vey uncomfortable and wanna go home to rest. He was wheeled out to the carpark.

At 2 plus, des was discharged. i drove and he guided me the way home and in between, falling asleep. So poor ting rite.. SUddenly, des says he wanna puke. Luckily, it was red light. I immediately took out a plastic bag. Heehee... in time for him to puke accurately.

He felt better.. this was the lingering side effect of morphine since he regain conscious.

When we reached home, des fell asleep immediately. He took a short 1 hr nap.

Meal time!! Guess wat.. Des ate 2 bowls of his fav congee. Luckily, i cooked it till congee type cos he doesnt wanna drink water.

At nite, I cooked congee again for him cos he's kinda weak to chew. Tis time round, Des ate 3 bowls. WOW... very happy that he's able to eat cos is a gd sign.

Can see that he's enjoying himself.. Lying on the bed, juz opening his mouth, waiting for me to feed him. :>

The wound is still painful during the 1st nite.. Des keeps tossing here n there. I accompany him to toilet a few times since he can;t walk.. till i surrender cos i need my beauty sleep.
